Helping Hands Scholarship Fund

Eastside Cooperative Preschool has been providing quality preschool experiences for children in our community since 1962. It's a place where kids learn about their world through hands-on exploration, play, social interaction and personal experiences. We believe family involvement in education is crucial to a positive and successful preschool experience and are proud to continue our strong tradition of community building through our Helping Hands Scholarship Fund.

Q. How can I help?

A. By making a donation in any amount to the Helping Hands Scholarship Fund. Make your checks payable to Eastside Cooperative Preschool Helping Hands Fund and mail them to P.O. Box 1851, Olympia, WA 98507. Your business or family will be recognized as a valued supporter of our school on our website, www.eastsidepreschool.org.

Q. Why establish the Helping Hands Fund?

A. There are families in our community that are unable to send their children to preschool for financial reasons. Because we feel so strongly that preschool is an important part of any child's education, we established the Helping Hands Fund so families who want to send their children to Eastside could, regardless of financial circumstances.

Q. How is the money used?

A. The Helping Hands fund covers the tuition costs of offering full or partial scholarship to families in need and/or offering temporary tuition assistance to families during times of emergencies. The entire amount (100%) of your tax-deductible donation pays tuition for families in need! Any money not granted in scholarships this year will be reserved in the Helping Hands Fund to cover future scholarships. None of your donation will be used to cover administrative costs and it will not be rolled into our general budget.

Q. How can I find our more information about the Fund?

A. Please call the preschool at 754-3938 and leave a message for the Membership Chair. Messages are checked daily during the school year (mid-September through May) and weekly during the summer months.
